Why we exist, what we stand for, and why the joke stopped being funny.
How we got here
We started in 2016 as Trumperoids, with a tagline that said it all: pain relief from a world-class ass. Back then, we thought Donald Trump was merely a pain in the ass, a loud, vain showman whose worst instincts would be checked by the office, the courts and the voters.
We were wrong. A decade on, he has proven to be something far worse: a cancer on society. He has spread contempt for the truth, for the law and for anyone who disagrees with him, and it has metastasized well beyond one man. That is why we became Donald J. Trump, MD: because the diagnosis changed, and so did our job.
What we stand for
Democracy and the rule of law
No one is above the law, and no one gets to be king. Elections, courts and a free press are not obstacles to be removed. They are how free people govern themselves.
Truth and evidence
Facts are not a matter of loyalty. Every claim on this site links to its source, so you can check us, not just trust us.
An egalitarian society
Everyone counts equally, whatever their faith, origin, gender, ability or politics. We reject a politics that ranks people and blames the vulnerable.
Social cohesion
A country is not a war between “real Americans” and enemies within. We stand for the decency that lets neighbors disagree and still live together.
International stability
Allies are not marks to be shaken down, and borders are not real estate. A safer world depends on keeping promises, not threatening friends.
Why: the record speaks
We don’t ask you to take our word for it. Bullshitopedia, an independent, non-partisan encyclopedia of false and misleading claims, has checked many of his best-known statements against the evidence. A few of its findings:

Opposing Trump is no excuse for spreading bull. Plenty of popular claims about him don’t survive the evidence either, and Bullshitopedia calls those out too. So do we:

Our pledge. History has shown us what happens when people refuse to stand against hate-filled leaders. We will speak out in every way we can against the politics of hate, division and exclusion he represents, and for a democracy in which everyone counts equally. We will do it with facts, with humor, and without making things up.
