Florida's Seminole County GOP office vandalized
The office of Florida’s Seminole County Republican Party was vandalized on Sunday with the message scrawled on the outside that read “eat s**t fascists.”
GOP state committeeman Jesse Phillips told The Hill in an interview that the message also included an “A” with a circle around it, the symbol for anarchy. Phillips also said the locks were sealed shut.
“We basically had to break into our own office,” he added.
Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also addressed the incident in a Monday tweet, saying it “echoed Biden’s ‘fascists’ slander.'”
“There is no place for violence in our political discourse, and the GOP will not be intimidated,” she added.
No suspects, including ones with any potential political leanings, have been identified by police so far.
The Seminole County GOP is considering adopting additional safety measures for the office in light of the incident, Phillips said.
